An Exceptional Freelancer

I try to outsource work in general, also some linkbuilding, testing the waters with simple projects of e.g. 10 links… and am always looking for professional help and good people to help me and my clients… that’s just like interviewing people, except that I believe doing small test projects is a much better way to find the gems and filter the jerks out

and guess what interesting experience I got just yesterday…

Just yesterday I hired a guy calling himself “a campaign manager (PPC) – SEO professional, a Web designer and a Web developer since 1999″ (that’s 7 years!)

and he had quite some “wisdom” to tell upfront, that I thought demonstrates his experiences…

that was 1 small project with 10 links to 2 health and hobby related sites setup recently … both already had a bit of linking, were already fully indexed, so just perfect for testing the waters with a few smaller links….

You want to get 20 links containing unique keywords. Strictly inbound links to your website. Also you wish to have these links from relevant-subject websites to your business objectives and content, sites with minimum PR3 and no directors.

I have to run several reports, analyze your website and the linked-from website. I might need to supply the linked-from website an article, article regarding your business objectives to allow us having your link on their website for free.

If you wish to have 20 links, links that will definitely help your website ranking score and visibility this is the professional-process unless that you will probably wont get profit back. This is my way, I do it professionally, no spam techniques and no one-days success links that will banned your website completely. All reports will be sent to you and you will know exactly each step of the process.

And I thought

need to supply the linked-from website an article, article regarding your business objectives to allow us having your link on their website for free.

There are 2 ways in building inbound links the way you want:
1. The lazy way – quick but less efficient
Finding the right websites that are relevant to your website in-subject by running couple of reports. Usually your link will be placed in a reside-directory and probably somewhere on the 10th page.

2. The efficient way – longer process very efficient
Analyzing your website – > running relevant reports to match the criteria. Analyzing the selected websites – > visibility percentage and click-through. Eliminating websites with a reside-directory

Finding those who will gladly add you link if I will provide them with rich-content article related theirs and yours business objectives.

And so on… look at it more like building a little campaign, a bit slow while each link is 99.9 percent boost-up your ranking and visibility.

and it get’s even better

Articles will be provided by me (chris: Wow!) , of course, but only when I will need to push an article to get the link otherwise I will use the link-text-anchor alone. Points B and C are clear and confirmed. Regarding directories, if there are quality directories related in topic to your website with height ranking and good visibility percentage (popularity) and which I will be happy to find for you, then I will use directories!

I want you to understand, very important!

The process is not made within a day! Through the process you will get reports, these reports will show you the work-in-process and what I mean by “do it professionally”.

Sounds good, realistic and pretty straightforward…

I am committed to your “one week” but if I will need to extend 1-3 days longer I hope you will let be generous enough to allow it.

Then we went of specifying urls, target sites, 10 links and 10 keywords per site, etc… and I escrowed my money

Hi Christoph

I will send you updates shortly after I will finish some analyzing first and will provide you with the options availability.

I thank you for the opportunity and I wish us successful mission!

Then after only 24 hours I got the first results … but see which results:

Hi Christoph,

I already sent 2 websites a request to publish an article, 2 websites that are highly positioned (PR-8).
(OMG: this guy starts asking PR8 sites for a link on day 1??)

I learned their content and try to offer them a related-subject article while I mentioned your website URL as a new launched website that deals with your topic. This is most one of the standard ways to get good inbound links.
(well – hum -sure… spam people and explain why it’s good to link to you)

I wrote to you yesterday “Before you accept my bid please do reply with your URLs” as I wanted to analyze your websites and your competitors first.

They both turned us down!

(Can you believe it? A PR8 site NOT wanting to link to a pretty young a new website for free?

Well, now it get’s really funny!! )

As it took me 2 seconds to understand that your website is a “fraud” and tomorrow you might convert it into “baby’s diapers”

they sense it as well and I got their very straight-forward replies.

(oh poor boy.. 2 mails and no free PR8 links…!)

By fraud I refer of course that they knew that your topic isn’t really to goal-target of the website!

(no, sure…I first go out and gatter 500 links related to my hobby subject, just to change the site’s content later to “baby’s diapers” …!)

Now, before I will try knocking on highly-positioned related topic websites and get turn-down I suggest the following options:

(oh – it’s the general strategy to spam High PR sites for free links)

Christoph, you have to understand that you ask for free-advertisement from website owners who invested a great deal of money and effort.

(no, you do)

You do not wish to exchange link with them you only want them to link to you. Well, not entirely for free, you try to offer them related-essential articles.

(a great suggestion I got yesterday from you and it’s a good strategy for getting relevant links from relevant sites)

We both know you are not a grander and we both know you end-goal is converting this websites into click-trough or PPC ads websites once you will hold high positioning.

(oh – great that we know that now that I plan to monetize the size once it is developed :-)

1. You will compromise with your wish-list when I can submit, not solely, your website to free-directories, blogs and forums that are related in-content and are well positioned.

(READ: I want to blog spam instead of doing real link building)

2. Dealing with your website, re-deploy your content for the betterment of your website ranking and visibility so you can score better ranking points on-your-own where websites will want to link to you. After this stage we can easily start building inbound links successfully.

(READ: Build content so great that I don’t have any work and people will link to if anyway … which is in general a good advice, but not every project allows for that )

3. You will choose another coder that I guess will have to use SPAM and other “illegal” techniques.

(READ: if you don’t want me to blogspam for big money, then get some offshore blogspammer’s doing the dirt work for cheap)

Let me know how you wish to go on.

Then I thought about the initial promise

these reports will show you the work-in-process and what I mean by “do it professionally”.

well, I got no promised reports, I got no analysis, I only understood that the first mail beggings to the two top ranking PR8 sites for the topic were denied – obviously …

and I don’t believe this approach is a professional, experienced one…

so I opened the arbitration and cancelled the project once again finding somebody just talking hot air…

PS: I should have know – 0 ratings ususally have something to say – either the guy is really new or he got bad ratings and re-signed up at the freelancer portal… I decided to not start any business with “0 ratings” guys every again

PPS: OH – did I mention that one of the sites was from 2000, never changed who is info ? therefore having great chances to NOT trip any sandbox effect?

What say you?
