Difference between the Push and the Pull strategy

Pull-Strategy

appeals directly to consumers who demand the product from retailers. In turn, retailers will demand the product from wholesales.

Pull-Strategy

A firm markets its product to wholesalers and retailers who then persuade consumers to buy it.

Many large firms combine pull and push strategies. Companies advertise to create consumers demand (pull), and at the same time, it pushes wholesalers and retailers to stock them.
