July 10th, 2004 — | What say you?McDar's Keyword Analyzer
A keyword analyzer; tells you your current rank on google, the number of pages google has found for your website, and the allinanchor rating. (The allinanchor ranking is based on the number of links you have using the keyword you typed in.)
McDar's Datacenter Search
Search multiple datacenters at the same time to compare results- very handy when an update is being done and you are able to see a head of time how the results probably will pan out. This allows you to begin making adjustments prior to the results being posted live.
WebmasterBrain's Prog
Shows often times belated google results with the page rank next to the website in a PR Bar. This tool can be used to track what websites are currently linking to you, what their PR is, and other useful information. I think this is a very useful tool for other things as well – but those you guys will need to figure out on your own
Digitalpoint's Keyword Tracker
Easily the best program released for tracking results in the google SERPs. Track hundreds of keywords, keyword phrases, and websites page content. This is a very useful tool for tracking your overall progress on an SEO campaign.
Digitalpoint's Keyword Suggestion Tool
Pulling results from Word Tracker and Overture – this keyword suggestion tool is very user friendly and loads results very quickly. I'm not sure if WordTracker limits the # of results, but I am not too sure that a dozen is enough. I'd say they should extend that list to the length of the overture list at least.
WebmasterBrain's Keyword Density Tool
You can easily check the density of the keywords on any website. Most people believe a KW density of 2% or less is generally the best way to go for Google, and a bit higher density (5%-8%) is useful in reaching high rankings in Yahoo.
Langreiter's Google vs. Yahoo! Results
This program is very unique. You enter your search term, say your term is Wrestling Headgear. With this tool you will then receive the results (may vary slightly from the actual results on both engines) for both Yahoo! and Google. Matching sites are connected by a blue line. The only thing I don't really like about this tool is that the sites have to be exact matches (http://www.jrwrestling.com and http://www.jrwrestling.com/forum would not link to eachother, even though its the same domain.
SEO-Guy's SERPs Tool
This tool is used to find results from several different engines at the same time. The positive thing about this tool is that it isn't limited to just Yahoo! and Google- you get results from MSN, AllTheWeb, and Hotbot. Ofcourse, who searches from those anyway? Oh- and the results are often times incorrect or not even close at all.
WebConf's Search Engine Spider Simulator
Running a spider simulation is a very necessary thing to do when checking for a websites ability to be indexed. If there is a problem with your site's content, you need to be aware of it. This simulator does just that (pretty effectively, but not perfectly) The design of the Simulation was accurate around a year or two ago, but recently the search engines are getting much better at reading all types of documents.
WebmasterBrain's Future PR Checker
This tool sends a query to all of the available PR servers to find out the current PR of a website on that location. This is an interesting tool to use during a Google update because it will give you a heads up on which locations are updating quicker than the others, helping you gauge your current progress.
WebmasterBrain's Keyword Typo Generator
This tool is useful for finding common misspellings of words that are your main keywords. This tool is very useful for terms that are searched very often (thousands of times per day) or are misspelled frequently.
