The Top 5 Text Link Value tools

There are more and more SEO tools released these days. And finally there are some good to value a site without being based on Google Page rank alone…

So here’s a growing list of the tools available out there for estimating the value of a text link from a web page… be it in USD, EUR or just in some kind of bigger or smaller number.

These online tools are not only useful for buying and selling links, but also for getting an idea how much effort / time you should put into getting such a link.

I’m also trying to sort these tools based on my own perception of quality and usefulness

The top tools:

• SeoMoz Page Strength – my favorite tool for link pricing… well – actually it’s not a price but a value in the range from 0 to 10… sounds familiar?? but they disclose the metrics used and even provide links on how to get that data…

a little bit brain-power needed… how old is 812 days old ? well – no bit issue, but I’d prefer 30 months old or 2 1/4 years old… who counts his age in days :-)

• TLA link pricing – TLA are classic text link brokers – price seems to be based on position and Alexa only… no sign of getting the site’s age into the metric

The so-so tools:

• SEO Chat Link Price – no idea where the $ value comes from.. pretty too fast to gather metrics too… maybe just Alexa?

• WebConfs Link Value – again no idea where this comes from .. a bit cheaper than at seochat

• LinkVendor pricing – this tool again spits out a dollar value only – about 50% of the WebConfs price… what’s the basis for this?

The not-really-top tools:

• ILQ Tool – well 4 metrics for a domain is not bad… yet not everything one might want to see…
