- of all flight/travel bookings, 30% percent come from online bookings
- by 2005 it predicts half of all flight/hotel res. will be made online

- more than 20% of all car rental bookings will be made over the internet this year (2004)

Expedia says:

- close to 100 million people purchased travel onlien at some point over the last year
- while there are 20m people coming to Expedia each month, there's still a huge number of people looking for a place online to get these services

National Travel Monitor reports:

- 80% of active business travellers went online for hotel reservations this year
- nearyl 75% of consumers who researched travel online bought their tickets online in 2003

Among active leisure travellers, 20% went online during the past 12 months to book a complete vacation package with flight/hotel and often car rentals in one transaction…
