A while ago I already mirrored Pierre’s RSS converter here that is capable of converting your weblog’s RSS (or any RSS) to the Google Coop subscribed links format.

Pierre’s tool only converts the file once, which means you have to repeat the process by hand all the time, which is something I’d never do.

So I created the realtime RSS to CoOp converter which allows you to get the Coop subscribed links format directly via an url you specify. You can use it as specified below.

your advantage : simply add the url to your CoOp profile in the syntax described below and you’ll never have to care about uploading the CoOp file to Google.

Syntax is

simply replace http://www.yourdomain.com/yourrss.xml with the full url to your RSS file.

The following example ALWAYS returns a real time (live) converted version of the MarketingFan RSS feed.

The tradeoff with that tool is still, that you have to upload that converted file to your website…

A much nicer version is in the works – a live RSS to COOP converter … well actually it’s working already, and if you signup to my COOP profile you will actually get live converted results and recommendations from my weblogs – not static ones

After monitoring this for some days I will decide if I’ll host this live here, too or if I will only provide the source code.

The majority of regular blog readers are completely unaware of Really Simple Syndication (RSS) and the amount of passion the technology excites, it seems.

but Microsoft helps out – Microsoft will integrate RSS as standard technology into its Internet Explorer, Office release 12 and CRM suite.

That's good news for all RSS marketing guys and early adopters that invested into RSS.

Adobe joined the companies of using employee blogs as a marketing tool and launched their Adobe Blogs

That's 2 Years after fake employee-blogging was (mis-)used as a recruiting tool at Amazon , and even the so-quiet-in-the-past Google and Matt Cutts (an honored Google expert, sometimes referred to as GoogleGuy) started blogging.

This is an ongoing trend to make companies more human, trustworthy and "just real", and – user wise – provide fresh content on a daily basis for all types of stakeholders.

When does your company introduce a daily blog to attract and retain your clients with a touch of "human" ?

A sidenote on the SAP blogs…

SAP also has some "executive blogs" … but these are not public, as you have to register and probably get a lot of filtered and canned "company strategy" hype from in there… a nice packaged market communications or investor relations instrument for them IMHO…

Just some weeks after Google announcing their big public beta for RSS ads, I saw Feedster ads in Slashdots feed… probably another beta, as the official login for Feedster RSS Ads does not yet provide the option to signup.

Ambatch offers a Clickbank RSS feed generator for you to provide product data for integration into weblogs or with other RSS based scripts or publishing tools.

Ambatch also offers a free multilingual keyword analysis tool that shows you all sorts of translations of your main keyword plus the pagerank and competition for the top ranked sites… interesting to see that those numbers are REALLY much smaller…

of course there are some desktop software products available that allow you to submit your feeds to 55 or more RSS engines… I am carefully watching that…

Also it mustbe noted, that "RSS feeds" named #anymedication#keyword1#keyword2#keyword3# are spamming the RSS directories for traffic, so I am eager to see when the submission features will be trimmed down or such sites simply be banned (that's what I would do…)

Sam from ReveNews writes about Blog RSS advertising again… looks like this topic is become more emergent over time… the RSSAds or whatever their name was never got back with a launch date…

Oh – and others just found out about BlogAds and AdSense… well… I think their articles are more of a generic type… but I like their site…

John Battelle's Searchblog leads me to RSS Ads – folks that came up with the same idea that probably several of us already had – I even experimented the last days with some random text ads in the RSS feed.

They want to act as a hub between ad seller and buyer and provide means to integrate the dynamic ads into the RSS feeds. I hope they know that 99% of all RSS readers do not run JavaScript (for good reasons), otherwise we could have used Adsense or AdSonar or TextAds or some other ad system already…
